In the next two months, some Ukrainians can count on several pension supplements: from September, additional money is provided for citizens over the age of 70 (if their pension does not exceed UAH 10,340.35), and in October – thanks to receiving basic social assistance.

In addition, do not forget about payments in August, because this month a solid supplement to payments is provided in the amount of more than 5 thousand hryvnias, reminds the publication “On Pension” with reference to the PFU.
These additional payments have been in effect since 2023, in accordance with the laws “On the Rehabilitation of Victims of Repressions of the Communist Totalitarian Regime of 1917−1991” and “On Pensions for Special Merits to Ukraine.”
The additional payments are intended for fighters for Ukraine's independence in the 20th century who, during the operation of the communist totalitarian regime, were subjected to repression in the form of imprisonment or groundless sending to psychiatric institutions, and were eventually rehabilitated.

When the law was passed in 2023, the amount of the additional payments was 4,200 hryvnias per month. However, the law states that such payments are indexed annually — therefore, in 2025, the amount of the additional payments is 5,055.77 hryvnias.
To apply for a pension supplement, you must contact the service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The pensioner must submit an appropriate application and documents confirming the status that entitles him to receive supplements.
