Jonathan Andic, whose father Isak Andic founded Mango, conveyed on Tuesday his resignation from his position within the clothing business, subsequent to an arrest concerning his father’s passing.
The 45-year-old deputy chairman penned a message to his colleagues wherein he addressed the existing inquiry into the possible homicide and stated his departure from his responsibilities. Isak Andic, aged 71, passed away on Dec. 14, 2024, after experiencing a fall from a steep embankment while trekking a mountain alongside Jonathan Andic in Collbató, as stated by the prosecutors.

On May 19, authorities in Catalonia took Jonathan Andic into custody in association with the investigation, and he was freed upon payment of a €1 million surety. He affirmed his blamelessness and communicated compassion for his father’s passing within the message.
“A societal story has been developed resting upon a fragmented, decontextualized, and skewed perspective, shaping a belief of culpability that is far from being valid. I am conscious that its deconstruction will necessitate duration, endeavor and considerable commitment,” he expressed in Spanish.
