The Coast Guard Investigative Service is getting ready to request authorization from the Bahamas to dispatch American divers to investigate new locations in the continuous pursuit of Lynette Hooker, an American national who reportedly fell overboard and disappeared in the Bahamas almost two months prior, according to several U.S. authorities.
Digital evidence obtained from the electronic devices belonging to Lynette Hooker’s spouse, Brian Hooker, has directed investigators to novel areas of concern that had not been previously examined, as per U.S. officials.
The CGIS is spearheading the investigation into the vanishing of Lynette Hooker, who has been unaccounted for since the evening of April 4. Brian Hooker, Lynette Hooker’s husband, informed officials that inclement weather resulted in her falling overboard after the pair departed Hope Town on their small boat en route to their yacht, named the “Soulmate.”
Brian Hooker was taken into custody on April 8 and interrogated by law enforcement. He was later released on April 13 without any formal charges.

On April 14, Brian Hooker communicated to ABC News that he was remaining in the Bahamas with the “primary intention” of locating his wife.
However, just hours following that interview, Brian Hooker departed the Bahamas, with his legal representative stating his desire to be with his critically ill mother.
Karli Aylesworth, Lynette Hooker’s daughter and Brian Hooker’s stepdaughter, has voiced to ABC News her reservations regarding Brian Hooker’s account.
The U.S. Coast Guard has impounded the couple’s vessel and currently has it docked in Florida.
