A man who killed nine students and one teacher at his former school in Austria before committing suicide had carefully planned the attack, an investigation has found.
However, he appears to have chosen his victims at random, and investigators are still unable to determine his motives.
According to police, the 21-year-old left the BORG Dreierschutzengasse secondary school in Graz three years ago, interrupting his studies after three years.
They noted that they had no information about any personal connections between the shooter and his victims, but that one of the two teachers he shot had once taught him.
Officials are continuing to investigate whether this could have been the reason for his actions.
The tragedy led to three days of national mourning in Austria, with candles lit in the main square of Graz and outside the school.
The attacker, an Austrian who lived with his mother near Graz and whose name authorities have not released, used a Mercury double-barrel shotgun and a Glock 19 pistol in the shooting.
