Ukraine’s new EV sales jump 160%: Top sellers revealed

In September, the Ukrainian vehicle pool saw an influx of almost 9.2 thousand electric cars (BEVs). This figure represents a rise of 114% compared to September of the previous year.

Delo.ua delivers this information, citing data provided by Ukravtoprom.

It’s worth mentioning that the bulk of vehicles sold during the month that run on battery power were passenger vehicles – 8967 units, of which 2261 were brand new (+160%), and 6706 were pre-owned (+104%).

Among the 223 commercial electric vehicles, 46 were new (in September 2024, out of 132 units, 13 were new).

In addition, Ukrainian roads were graced with two new electric buses during September.

  2. Tesla Model 3 – 738 units;
  3. Nissan Leaf – 651 units;
  4. KIA Niro – 431 units;
  5. Renault Zoe – 311 units.

Electric vehicle surge

The Ukrainian electric vehicle sector is still shattering records.

By the close of September 2025, Ukraine hosts 193.5 thousand electric vehicles, excluding industrial transport and trolleybuses. The overwhelming majority are passenger vehicles, alongside 3.9 thousand electric trucks and 8 electric buses that have also been registered.

The appeal of electric vehicles in Ukraine continues to grow annually.
