Personal account. The fight for the Golden Banker in this category is fought between several banks. The competition is so big that the differences in points can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The statuette was taken by Santander.
Year after year, choosing the best personal account is becoming more and more difficult. The market leader in this product category has been dominated for years by a few banks that do not intend to give up ground to the competition. In terms of quality, it is the strict top of the top, and distinguishing the best account is becoming increasingly difficult. Why? Because basically all banks offer their customers the same services. Accounts can be free, they have access to a wide range of services and convenient applications. Since the modern customer handles their finances mainly remotely, an extensive network of branches becomes a secondary issue, and due to the growing number and volume of cashless payments, ATMs are not always a priority when choosing an account. The average customer withdraws cash from a machine at most a few times a month, or not at all.
Santander's great comeback
We awarded points for all functions, which, when added up, allowed us to indicate the best accounts on the market. Santander Bank Polska returned to the podium of the Złoty Bankier ranking in the Personal Account category after five years. The Santander Account (the successor to the Account I Want) won gold for the best account of 2025.

The bank sets a simple condition that eliminates fees: if you want to have a free account and card, spend at least PLN 300 per month. That's it. In return, it offers a wide range of free services, including unlimited free instant transfers (Express Elixir and Blue Cash). The cost of a foreign ATM withdrawal is only PLN 3, but for PLN 5 you can have a free withdrawal package throughout the country and abroad. But even if the customer does not buy the package, a withdrawal abroad costs only PLN 10 – there are no percentage thresholds that make the commission dependent on the amount of the withdrawal.

Golden Banker for the best banks. Once again, we awarded the market leaders
The assessment was largely influenced by the number of available services and implementations that the bank carried out last year. As one of the few institutions, Santander Bank Polska has all the services in electronic banking that we took into account when collecting data for the ranking. In addition to a wide range of mobile payments (almost all types of “pay” available on the market), it offers the above-mentioned services such as tickets, insurance, loans, applications, currency exchange, an investment platform, etc. The bank also offers moneyback from paid bills and regular promotions in which it pays customers for activity.
Recently, the bank has also implemented a lot of new and useful services. A new brokerage office has appeared in online banking, eUrząd has been implemented in the mobile application, and the possibility of purchasing OC/AC insurance has appeared. In addition, the application has enabled access to finances in “read only” mode in the event of a failure or technical break in the bank. Other novelties include the possibility of opening Konto24 FX in the app, connecting a debit card to FX accounts, the Clik2call service, which allows direct connection to a telephone advisor from the application without additional authorization, a subscription management module or the provision of a financial assistant. In addition, the bank has implemented a lot of UX tuning improvements for the application.
Pekao maintained its position from last year
Second place was awarded to the Przekorzystne Account offered by Bank Pekao. It was only two points short of the leader. The Przekorzystne Account is also one of the leading accounts – it took first place twice – in 2021 and 2022. The bank also offers most services at favorable prices. However, it differs from the leader in, for example, the conditions exempting it from the card fee (in addition to the transaction, inflows of PLN 1,000 are required). Instant transfers are paid, but you can buy the Comfort Package and have 2 or 4 orders for free per month. The bank has a wide range of electronic services, but in this area, in our opinion, Santander turned out to be better.
Velobank on the podium
Third place in the Złoty Bankier ranking in the Personal Account category was awarded to VeloBank and its flagship product, VeloKonto. The bank was already making its way to the top last year due to its favorable price range in the basic package. However, it lacked some services in electronic banking. In VeloBank, it is enough to make only 5 transactions per month for the account, card and ATMs in the country and in the member states to be for PLN 0.
The bank offered high rates on savings products (up to 8%), and also implemented a number of innovations in electronic banking. It scored points, among others, by providing the Moje Rachunki module, VeloFotki, Płacę NaRaz payments, a module allowing to manage subscriptions, Blik without a code, an online car application, an electronic business card, and VeloID. A lot has really happened here in the past year, and the changes implemented in the application and electronic banking were not just cosmetic. The small bank began to push itself strongly on the market.
