The American company Pratt & Whitney has published a video with a visualization of the promising Boeing F-47 fighter jet, for which it is developing the XA103 engine. What is important to understand is that US President Donald Trump recently called the F-47 “the most destructive aircraft of all time.”

Main theses:

  • Currently, it is a twin-engine, single-seat tailless aircraft with a trapezoidal wing.
  • However, its appearance may still change, as development is still ongoing.

What will the American Boeing F-47 look like?

According to media reports, the engine for this aircraft is being developed under a program called Next Generation Adaptive Propulsion (NGAP).

Its competitor is the General Electric XA102.

In the video footage, a twin-engine, single-seat tailless aircraft with a trapezoidal wing and front horizontal tail was immediately noticed.

The new rendering shows two engines with flat nozzles with thrust vectoring, similar to the F-22's engines.

In addition, the experts' attention was focused on the cockpit – it is located quite high, and the nose has a different shape compared to the previously presented “shovel-shaped” versions.

According to analysts, it is too early to draw conclusions about this aircraft.

What is important to understand is that the video shows only a conventional visualization, not the actual appearance of the American Boeing.

After signing the contract with Boeing in 2025, the US has released only a few official renderings of the F-47, which deliberately hide the aircraft's design features. Experts have stressed that the images should not be taken literally.
