At CES 2026, LEGO introduced the Smart Brick for the first time. It is said to be a smart 2×4 piece that brings entire sets to life.

According to the developers, they were able to fit a tiny chip, speaker, and sensors into their new product.

Moreover, it is stated that the parts are capable of reproducing sounds, glowing, and determining which character is using them.
The technology operates autonomously and does not require connection to a smartphone or app. Unlike earlier interactive series like Lego Mario, the new piece does not require replaceable batteries. Energy is supplied via wireless charging, while a single charging pad can power multiple pieces at once.
