The MP in exile Marcin Romanowski does not own any real estate: neither a house, nor an apartment, nor land – this is what his latest property declaration shows. His main source of income was the MP's allowance: PLN 43.8 thousand and remuneration – PLN 131.4 thousand. The equivalent for leave from the Ministry of Justice, where in the previous term he held the position of deputy minister, amounted to PLN 40.8 thousand (plus the refund of ZUS contributions).

Among his savings, the MP declared PLN 30,000 and EUR 6,000. He also does not have any movable property, such as a car, worth more than PLN 10,000.

What catches the eye, however, is the security deposit on his bank account for PLN 114 million. As the politician pointed out in his asset declaration, it was “made by persons for whom there is a reasonable suspicion of committing the crime of unlawful deprivation of liberty” in connection with a “politically motivated investigation into the Justice Fund” (this probably refers to the 11 charges brought against the former deputy minister in connection with irregularities in the Justice Fund, i.e. participation in an organized criminal group).

Marcin Romanowski also commented on his stay in Hungary. He is there “due to a justified fear of lack of access to a fair justice system.”
