
On Friday, March 27, the Ukrainian youth national football team, which defeated Rokas Garastas's team in an away match (4:0), will play a nominal home match of the 2027 European Championship qualifying cycle against the Lithuanian team at the Košice Football Arena in the Slovak city of Košice (referee – Roman Dzhitari from Moldova).

In the past years, the Ukrainian and Lithuanian youth teams have met 12 times. Ukraine has won 7 times, drawn three times, and lost twice (the last time was in 2012). In the last four meetings, our team has won against the Lithuanians with a total score of 13:1.
The Ukraine U21 – Lithuania U21 match will be broadcast live in our country (starting at 7:00 PM ) by the UAF YouTube channel , the MEGOGO media service, as well as the MEGOGO Sport TV channel, which broadcasts on T2 and cable networks.

Unfortunately, Spaniard Unai Melgosa's team did not have a very successful first half of the Euro 2027 qualifiers. After defeating Lithuania (4:0), the “yellow-blue” drew with Hungary (3:3), and then lost to Croatia (0:1) and Turkey (0:1).

Position of the teams in the group: 1. Turkey – 11 points (5 matches); 2. Croatia – 10 (4); 3. Ukraine – 4 (4) ; 4. Hungary – 3 (4); 5. Lithuania – 1 (5).
Recall that the winners of nine groups and the best second-place team will automatically qualify for the final tournament of the European Championship. And eight other second-place teams will determine the owners of four places for Euro 2027 in play-offs.
As is known, the 2027 UEFA Youth Championship will be hosted by four stadiums each in Albania (Tirana, Shkoder, Elbasan, Rogozina) and Serbia (Novi Sad, Loznica, Liskovac, Zajecar), which have automatically qualified for the final round of the competition. The results of the European Championship will determine the participants of the 2028 Olympic Games according to the UEFA quota.
