
On Thursday, January 22, the Ukrainian men's futsal team, which sensationally became the bronze medalist of the World Championship, will play the opening match of the Euro 2026 group tournament against the Armenian team at the Zalgiris Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania.

As part of preparations for the European Championship, which will be held from January 21 to February 7 in Lithuania (Kaunas), Latvia (Riga) and Slovenia (Ljubljana) with the participation of 16 teams, Oleksandr Kosenko's players held a number of friendly matches. In particular, the “yellow-blue” team defeated the fourth-ranked team in the world, France (3:1), drew (1:1) and lost (2:5) to the current European champion, Portugal, and just before leaving for the tournament, they defeated another participant in Euro 2026, Slovenia (2:0).
In the upcoming match, bookmakers see the Ukrainian national team, which is ranked 8th in the FIFA rankings, as the clear favorite. For example, the betting office accepts bets on the victory of the “yellow-blue” with odds of 1.25, on a draw – 6.33, and on a win for the Armenians – 6.50.
The Ukraine-Armenia match will be broadcast live (starting at 5:00 PM ) by the MEGOGO media service and the free-to-air MEGOGO Sport TV channel, which broadcasts on T2 and cable networks.

Lithuania and the Czech Republic will play in another match in the quartet on the same day (at 8:00 PM).
In the remaining group matches, Ukraine will face Lithuania (January 25 at 5:00 PM) and the Czech Republic (January 28 at 8:30 PM). The top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
