On Tuesday, December 16, the 10th annual ceremony of The Best FIFA Football Awards took place in Doha (Qatar), which named the laureates for 2025 in 11 categories.

The 28-year-old PSG and France forward Ousmane Dembele, who has already won the Ballon d'Or this year, has been named the “Best Footballer in the World” by FIFA (based on votes from journalists, head coaches and captains of national teams from around the world, as well as fans).

In the final vote, Dembele beat Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Pedri (Barcelona), Vitinho (PSG), Lamin Yamal (Barcelona), Harry Kane (Bayern), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) and Rafinha (Barcelona).

The symbolic FIFA team of 2025 includes: Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG), Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Willian Paco (PSG), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Vitinha (PSG), Pedri (Barcelona), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Ousmane Dembele (PSG).

In the “Best Goal of the Year” nomination (the Ferenc Puskas Award has been awarded since 2009), the winner was a magnificent goal by 25-year-old forward Santiago Montiel of Independiente, a shot that fell over himself in the May match of the Argentine championship against Independiente Rivadavia, which brought his team a victory – 1:0.

The award for “Best Men's Goalkeeper” went to the winner of the French Championship and Cup, as well as the Champions League with PSG, the 26-year-old goalkeeper of the Italian national team Gianluigi Donnarummi, who is defending the colors of Manchester City this season.

“Best Men's Coach” is the Spanish coach of PSG Luis Enrique, under whose leadership the Parisians won the Champions League for the first time in history in 2025 (the team also won the championship, the Cup and the Super Cup of France, as well as the UEFA Super Cup). By the way, the winner of the award will lead his charges (including the defender of the Ukrainian national team Ilya Zabarny) to the decisive match of the Intercontinental Cup against the Brazilian “Flamengo” in Doha on Wednesday, December 17.
