The Hundred: Jimmy Anderson to play for Manchester Originals in fifth season of the tournament

Which teams are participating?

Eight teams from the cities: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire.

Each matchday features two matches, the women's game in the afternoon and the men's game in the evening at the same venue. The opening fixture is on Tuesday 5 August with London Spirit taking on Oval Invincibles. All games will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Where are the matches held?

The Phoenix play their home games at Edgbaston , the Spirit at Lord's , the Originals at Emirates Old Trafford and the Superchargers at Headingley.

The Invincibles' home ground is Kia Oval and the Braves' home ground is Utilita Bowl , while the Rockets play at Trent Bridge Stadium and the Fire at Sophia Gardens.

England's record Test wicket-taker James Anderson , 43, will play for The Hundred for the first time after being selected as a wildcard by Manchester Originals, while the Northern Superchargers have two Flintoffs in their squad: 17-year-old Rocky Flintoff joins the team led by his father Andrew.

The women's tournament will feature England regulars Nat Sciver-Brant (Trent Rockets) , Tammy Beaumont (Welsh Fire) , Sophie Dunkley (Welsh Fire) and Sophie Ecclestone (Manchester Originals) , as well as international stars such as Australia's Ash Gardner (Trent Rockets) and South Africa's Laura Wolwardt (Southern Brave).
