SSE Airtricity: Drogheda United draw with Cork City, Shelbourne beat Sligo Rovers

On Friday evening, the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division match between Drogheda United and Cork City ended in a draw.

Cork City opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when Ruairi Thomas Keating converted a successful penalty, but Drogheda United levelled the score in the second half through Warren Davies.

The match between Shamrock Rovers and Derry City also ended in a draw, with both teams failing to score and ten players left on the pitch.

Edward McGinty was sent off in the 23rd minute for a handball outside the penalty area, while Danny Mullen received a second yellow card and also left the field.

Shelbourne took an early 2-0 lead against Sligo Rovers thanks to goals from John Martin and Kerr McEnroe.

Sligo Rovers pulled one back before the break but lost a player in the second half when Sian Kavanagh was sent off.

St Patrick's were able to secure a win against Waterford, who opened the scoring in the 14th minute thanks to a goal from Padraig Amon.

An own goal from Darragh Leahy and a 90th-minute strike from Brandon Kavanagh made the final score 2-1 to St Patrick's.

Galway United lead 2-0 against Bohemians with both goals coming from Moses Dyer.

After this evening's action, St Patrick's sit top of the table, with Galway United and Drogheda United in second and third respectively.

In the First Division, Bray won against Cobh Ramblers thanks to a penalty in injury time.

The score was tied until the 90+5 minute when Max Murphy converted a penalty.

Billy O'Neill opened the scoring in the 53rd minute to put Bray ahead before Sian Coleman equalised for Cobh Ramblers.

Dundalk comfortably beat Wexford 3-0 thanks to goals from Leo Gaxa and Sean Keogh.

In other matches, Finn Harps beat Athlone Town 1-0, while Kerry lost to UCD 1-0.
