Saturday Sport: Nottingham Forest beat Man United, Celtic win Old Firm derby

A late goal from Morgan Gibbs White helped Nottingham Forest to victory over Manchester United in the Premier League’s evening kick-off.

It finished 2-1 at the City Ground, as Forest picked up their second win under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo.

Everton manager Sean Dyche says he has no complaints over his side’s loss to Wolves earlier on Saturday.

The Toffees lost 3-0 and remain just a point outside the Premier League’s relegation zone.

Aston Villa are now level on points with Liverpool at the top after their 3-2 win over Burnley.

Chelsea beat Luton Town by the same scoreline, while Manchester City were 2-0 winners over Sheffield United.

At Selhurst Park, it finished Crystal Palace 3 Brentford 1.

In the Scottish Premiership, a 2-1 win over Rangers in the Old Firm derby has helped Celtic take an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

Tottenham have confirmed goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is leaving the club to join MLS side Los Angeles FC.

The Frenchman is seventh on the Spurs all-time appearance list after playing 447 times for the club.

Lloris was captain for nine years.



Edinburgh ran out 19–14 winners against Glasgow in front of a bumper crowd in the United Rugby Championship.

Nearly 38,000 people watched as a new Scottish club record attendance was set.

In Saturday’s other fixture, Benetton beat Zebre by 36 points to 14.



Brendan Dolan is in the early stages of his last 16 tie with Gary Anderson at the PDC World Darts Championship.

The first to four sets will progress.
