Is Arsenal's move a surprise?
South American football expert Tim Vickery tells Sky Sports News about the transfers:
“Hincapie is a left-footed defender, a central defender who can also play as a left-back.
“He's not the kind of left-back who moves quickly down the flank. He prefers to play the ball out of the defensive zone.”
“I remember the first time I saw him in Ecuador. He was taken there as a teenager and I had my doubts.
“I thought he was a little bit too small, maybe he had some mistakes. It was great that I was wrong because he grew and grew and became a really great defender.
“I have a slight doubt: why would Arsenal spend so much money on a player in that position when they have both Gabriel Magalhaes and [Riccardo] Calafiori? So there are substitutes in both positions that Hincapie is offering.
“I was a bit surprised why Arsenal. From what we've seen this season, you'd think Liverpool would really want this player.”
Arsenal concerned about Saka injury ahead of big Liverpool clash
Mikel Arteta has admitted Liverpool are favourites to win the Premier League title but Arsenal need to come and win it.
Mikel Arteta has admitted Bukayo Saka's hamstring injury is a major concern as Arsenal prepare to face champions Liverpool without their talisman on Super Sunday.
Saka, who missed three months of last season with a right hamstring injury, was forced off after feeling something in his left hamstring during Arsenal's 5-0 win over Leeds.
The 23-year-old avoided the need for surgery this time as the injury was not as serious as initially thought, but he will not play at Anfield and has also been left out of the England squad.
Martin Odegaard is also in doubt for Sunday's match, which will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League.
