British Muay Thai boxing sensation Logan Chan is set for a huge debut on the world stage as he prepares for his first appearance at ONE Friday Fights 118 against Thai fighter Chama Superbon in a training camp in August, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old Edinburgh resident describes ONE Championship as “the biggest arena in the world” with viewers watching from all over the globe.

“When you’re at ONE, you’re not just seen in Bangkok or Lumpini, you’re seen all over the world,” he said.

The young Scottish athlete will face undefeated Thai talent Chama, who trains out of the renowned Superbon training camp and has an impeccable record in ONE Championship with two decisive victories.

Despite the size of the event, Chan's training matches his highly successful career, and he currently boasts an impressive 24-1 record and is ranked fourth in the UK Muay Thai rankings.

Having put the opportunity on hold last year to focus on his university education and important fighting experience, Chan now claims he is “100 percent ready” to showcase his abilities to the world.

“I initially declined because of my university studies and I already had fights scheduled at home, but I knew this moment would come,” Chan added.

“I just wanted to make sure I was 100 percent ready, and I felt like if I had failed the exam last year, I didn't want to do it too early.”

ONE Championship's star-studded lineup is “definitely inspiring” Chan, as he states, “I've worked long and hard to get to this point in my career… and I'm ready to take on the best in the world.”

Chan’s fighting style seems ideally suited to ONE’s exciting format. “I’m very fast… I like three-round Muay Thai better than five-round… you can take it,” he says.

Switching to specialized 4oz gloves, while it does increase risks, is also a comfortable option for him as he has had success with them in the past.

“Small gloves create risks. You have to be careful with a lot more detail. It's almost impossible to make a mistake, but I think it suits my style very well. I like to make spectacular strikes.”
