Nutritionists explained which apples are best for those who are losing weight

Apples are great for weight loss, nutritionists explained, Ukr.Media reports.

According to them, apples contain polyphenols, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, which generally strengthens and heals the body.

And don't forget about vitamins A, C, E, B1 and B2, pectin and fiber. In addition, malic acid promotes metabolism.

These properties make apples not only an assistant in the fight against excess weight, but also, for example, a great snack, as well as an ideal ingredient for sugar-free diet desserts.

Those who want to lose weight should prefer green apples: compared to red ones, they are lower in calories, contain more fiber, antioxidants, and trace elements. And green apples are good for teeth and oral cavity, experts say.

However, nutritionists warn that fresh apples on an empty stomach or eaten before bed can cause stomach pain and heartburn.

Also, instead of fighting excess weight, apples at night only contribute to its increase, because the natural sugar contained in them does not have time to be absorbed and is deposited in fat.

You can't overeat them either – doctors recommend eating no more than 400 g of apples daily.
