Monday Briefing: Matheus Cunha and Caoimhin Kelleher ready for transfers

Manchester United have started their summer moves by agreeing a deal with Wolves for Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian striker will become Ruben Amorim's first summer signing after a disappointing season that saw the Red Devils finish 15th in the Premier League and suffer defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Brentford have reached an agreement to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, PA reports.

From Molineux to Old Trafford

Brazilian striker Cunha was in Manchester at the weekend to complete his move to Old Trafford, which requires a visa and registration.

The 26-year-old, who has made 13 appearances for Brazil, scored 18 goals in all competitions last season.

A United statement said: “Manchester United have reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Matheus Cunha.

“Signing a contract with the Brazilian forward requires obtaining a visa and registration. Everyone at Manchester United is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Matheus at Old Trafford.”
