Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has completed his season-long loan to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old academy graduate has not made a single appearance for the Red Devils' first team (426) since being sent off in the Europa League game against Viktoria Plzen on December 12.
Rashford also spent time on loan at Aston Villa last season and is one of five players who have been training away from Ruben Amorim's first-team squad since the start of pre-season as they consider their options in the transfer market.
The England international has finally completed his long-awaited move, signing a loan deal with Barcelona for the 2025/26 season.
The La Liga champions have confirmed they have the option to make the deal permanent.
The clause is reportedly worth €35m and PA understands the deal will see Barcelona pay Rashford's wages for the duration of the campaign.
The Premier League club said: “Everyone at Manchester United wishes Marcus every success this season.”
On Wednesday, Rashford completed all the necessary paperwork and will play for the Blaugrana under number 14.
Both he and Barcelona have openly expressed their hopes of making a move happen this summer, and talks have intensified in recent days.
The striker arrived in Catalonia on Sunday evening to complete a deal which he hopes will boost his career and bolster his chances of playing for England at the World Cup next summer.
Rashford is United's 23rd all-time appearance holder and 15th all-time goalscorer with 138 goals. He scored twice on his debut against Midtjylland in February 2016 in the Europa League.
He has won five major trophies with his boyhood club and was named Player of the Year for the 2022–23 season, scoring a career-high 30 goals, for which he has reportedly signed a £325,000-a-week contract until 2028.
Rashford has scored 17 goals in 62 appearances for England and has featured in four major tournaments. The forward missed a penalty in the 2021 European Championship final against Italy
