Luke Littler has refused to call himself the best darts player in the world after his Betfred World Matchplay victory, but how close is he to officially becoming the world number one?

The 18-year-old beat James Wade 18-13 in a superb final at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, where his average was 107.24, making him the youngest player to lift the Phil Taylor Trophy.

With the win, Littler became only the fifth player to win the Triple Crown (he previously won the Premier League in May last year and the World Championship in January), joining Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries in darts' exclusive club.

Humphries currently sits top of the money table (as of 28 July) with earnings of £1,797,750, while Luke Littler's latest TV title has taken him to £1,500,500 – less than £300,000 short of top spot.

Their closest rivals are Michael van Gerwen, who is third on £739,750, with Stephen Bunting fourth and Wade rounding out the top five after his run to the Blackpool final.
