One of the most decorated coaches in the history of world football will find his final resting place in the family vault on the main avenue of the cemetery. Lucescu's burial place (at the entrance, considered the most prestigious place in the “most desirable” cemetery in Romania) is not distinguished by pomp, but is built with elegance and attention to detail. “Title, fame, wealth, everything on earth ends, whatever beauty exists, everything dies and disappears. Living, while you work, leave behind monuments, good deeds,” says the inscription carved on the family tomb of the football player and coach.

According to the publication, Mircea Lucescu bought and notarized the crypt more than 10 years ago, when he was still coaching Shakhtar Donetsk.

The family tomb of the football legend belongs to the category of those that cost “several tens of thousands of euros.”
