Titled German football player, world and European champion, 81-year-old Gunter Netzer, who is among the top 100 best players in history, has become a grandfather for the first time, Bild reports.

The first child was born to his daughter, 38-year-old Alana, and her 38-year-old husband, Swiss pop singer Basque (real name Sebastian Burgin).
“We present to you our Lennon Ron Burgin. We are very happy and grateful for this gift. We are enjoying the time spent together, and we already adore our son! Best wishes, the Burgin-Netzer family,” the happy parents wrote on Instagram, posting photos with the baby.

We should add that Gunther Netzer is the 1972 European champion and 1974 World champion with the German national team. The two-time German champion with Borussia Mönchengladbach and the two-time Spanish champion with Real Madrid were recognized as the country's best footballer twice in a row.
After his playing career, Netzer spent seven years as Hamburg's sporting director, during which time the team won three German championships and the European Cup.
