“I understand that I only have a few days left to live,” Lamisha Musonda wrote. “I also realize that there were many people by my side, and I will always cherish those memories. Life is hard, but everything was wonderful.
Life is full of ups and downs, and no one can understand the pain you go through. The last two years have been particularly difficult for me. It is with great sadness that I announce that I am struggling to regain my health, which explains my absence from social media.
I want to make it clear: my health is critical and I am currently fighting for survival. Your help and prayers will be very helpful at this time.

My family and I are fighting, and I will not give up until my last breath. I was lucky to have such a wonderful youth… And I still have a lot to do. After all, there are so many wonderful people I want to thank in person. The fact that I may not have the chance to do this is very sad.”

It should be added that Lamisha Musonda is the son of former Anderlecht and Zambian international midfielder Charlie Musonda, and the brother of Charlie Jr. and Tiki. Lamisha, along with his two younger brothers, left Anderlecht in 2012 and joined Chelsea, where he spent two years training with the London club's stars, but never made his first-team debut. After a brief spell with Belgian side Mechelen, two Spanish amateur clubs and more than a year with Congolese TP Mazembe, he retired in 2020.
