Hundreds of thousands of Newcastle United fans are expected to take to the streets on Saturday to celebrate something Tyneside has not seen for 70 years – an open-top bus parade to celebrate the domestic trophy.
The League Cup winners have prepared a route from St James's Park through the city centre to Town Moor, where the stage complex will be installed.
Fans will take to the streets to support Eddie Howe's side who beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley Stadium almost two weeks ago to end the club's 70-year wait for a domestic trophy.
The bus is scheduled to leave the stadium at 4.30pm and arrive at Town Moor around half an hour later. The players will gather on stage to celebrate in front of 150,000 ticketed spectators on Town Moor, an open space on the edge of the city centre.
Afterwards, fans will be treated to a light show from Saudi events company and club sponsor Sela.
