England to host five nations in epic 2026 summer of international cricket

In 2026, England's men's and women's teams will host five international teams across all formats; Ben Stokes' Test side will face New Zealand and Pakistan in two Test series, while Garry Brooke's white-ball team will play India and Sri Lanka in one-day internationals and Vitality IT20 matches.

England captain Ben Stokes says he is looking to add interest to the long format

In 2026, the England men's and women's teams will host five international teams each across all formats.

This summer, the England Women's team will host the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup on home soil from 12 June to 5 July, putting women's cricket on the global map.

Ben Stokes' England men's Test team will face New Zealand and Pakistan in two Test series at Rothesay, while Garry Brooke's white-ball side will play India and Sri Lanka in the Metro Bank ODI and Vitality IT20.

Meanwhile, the ICC Women's T20 World Cup will see Nat Sciver-Brant lead the England Women's team through a packed domestic schedule including matches against New Zealand, India and Ireland, including a Test match in Rothesay against India at Lord's.

ECB CEO Richard Gould said: “We are looking forward to what promises to be an exciting summer for international cricket in 2026. With world-class opposition visiting iconic venues across the country, fans will be able to watch outstanding performances from both the men’s and women’s teams.”

The highlight of the summer will undoubtedly be the Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in England for the first time since 2009. This is a huge milestone for women’s rugby, for Nat Sciver-Brant and her team, and a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of players and fans. We are also delighted that Lord’s will host England’s first ever Women’s Test match, marking a truly unique period for women’s rugby.
