Eberechi Eze back in action as Crystal Palace beat Wolves

Eberechi Eze again demonstrated his outstanding talent in the FA Cup final as Crystal Palace secured a 4-2 Premier League win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their first match since winning the trophy.

Eze, who came off the bench to score Palace's only goal in Saturday's 1-0 win at Wembley against Manchester City, struck again at Selhurst Park to earn victory on Tuesday night.

However, the south Londoners were forced to fight back as Eddie Nketiah scored twice to take his Premier League tally to three.

Emmanuel Agbadu headed in a corner to give Vitor Pereira's side the lead in the 24th minute, before Nketiah scored a brace and then Chelsea loanee Ben Chilwell extended the lead to 3-1 with a deflection from a free-kick.

Jorgen Strand Larsen's header gave Wolves hope in the 62nd minute, but Eze sealed the match with his trademark run to finish the attack.

Chilwell, who joined Palace in January, was given a rare chance to start the match by Oliver Glasner and his first strike as a left-back after 16 minutes left goalkeeper Dan Bentley busy.

In the early stages, Wolves had little possession and were waiting for their chance before scoring the first goal.

Agbadu's header from a corner appeared to be cleared over the line by Jefferson Lerma but referee David Webb allowed the goal.

Palace equalised three minutes later as Romain Esse, who had excelled on the left flank in his first Premier League start for the Eagles, slalomed before releasing Nketiah in the box, who fired a powerful shot into the bottom right corner.

Despite the difficulties that followed his move from Arsenal in the summer, Nketiah has proven himself to be constantly on the move.

He was rewarded when he converted Ismaila Sarr's cross from the right flank in the 32nd minute and doubled his tally with a goal from six yards.

Chilwell, who came on for Tyreek Mitchell, capped a superb performance with a free-kick that rebounded off Bentley before flying into the net.

Captain Joel Ward waved to the Palace fans as he was substituted in the 70th minute, ending his 13-year spell at the club.

Strand Larsen headed home from another corner but Eze's solo run and finish ensured Palace had a fine performance in their final game of the season against champions Liverpool on Sunday.
