According to Sky in Italy, Al Hilal is ready to meet Nunez's salary demands.
Milan have shown interest and made an offer, but are unlikely to match those figures.
If Nunez leaves Anfield, it will be following his move from Benfica in 2022, where he scored 40 goals in 143 appearances for the club and initially cost the Reds £64m.
Despite scoring 18 goals in his final season under Jurgen Klopp, he managed just seven in his final campaign under Arne Slot, although he did score two crucial stoppage-time goals to give Liverpool a 2-0 win over Brentford in January.
As Darwin Nunez's Anfield exit looks inevitable, take a look back at his best goals for Liverpool.
Analysis: Will Liverpool be upset by Nunez's loss?
South American football expert Tim Vickery:
“I would be very sorry to lose him. He is a player who always contributes and I still hope that Nunez can develop his skills in another direction.”
He is a key player for the Uruguayan national team. His achievements for the national team are truly impressive. He is optimistic about achieving goals – always striving for victory, always ready for change.
“While some Liverpool fans are wary of him, many really appreciate his efforts.
“He has a big step to make this year before the World Cup and he may think that moving to Saudi Arabia will allow him to be more rested for the World Cup but it will be a loss for the Premier League.”
Should Liverpool sign Isak if Nunez is set to leave?
Jamie Carragher has expressed his desire for Liverpool to sign Newcastle United's Aleksandr Isak but is unsure whether the club should spend such a large sum.
Earlier in August, Liverpool made an initial offer of £110 million with add-ons, Sky Sports News reported. However, the total offer fell short of £120 million, with the Magpies valuing the striker at £150 million.
Liverpool also signed Hugo Ekitikey this summer, who can also play as a striker, and Carragher says he is not keen on spending money on a striker to play as a backup.
