On Thursday, March 5, at the Kolos stadium in Kovalivka, the third semifinalist of the Ukrainian Football Cup was determined, from which last year's triumphant Shakhtar was eliminated.

Following Dynamo Kyiv and Bukovina Chernivtsi, Kharkiv Metalist 1925, led by Croatian Mladen Bartulovych, qualified for the quartet of the tournament's strongest teams, having finally subdued the “upstart” from the second league, Lokomotiv Kyiv (previously, the “railroad workers” knocked out two UPL representatives from the tournament – Kolos from Kovalivka and Veres from Rivne).

In the last cup quarterfinal on March 17 (at 12:00), representatives of the first league “Chernihiv” and “Phoenix-Mariupol” will play, one of which will join two UPL clubs in the semifinals – “Dynamo” and “Metalist 1925”, as well as the second-strongest division team “Bukovyna”.
Previously, “FACTS” reported that the legend of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team returned from abroad to the village club.
