Arsenal drew with Madrid in a two-penalty shootout: video review of the Champions League semi-final 2

On Wednesday, April 29, the second semi-final match took place in the Champions League, where PSG and Bayern had a nine-goal madness the day before.

Champions League. Semi-finals. First match

Atletico (Spain) – Arsenal (England) – 1:1 (Alvarez, 56, from the penalty spot – Dioqueres, 44, from the penalty spot).

The match at Madrid's Riyadh Air Metropolitano was predictably less spectacular and goal-rich than the clash at Parc des Princes the day before. Diego Simeone and Mikel Arteta's players exchanged well-aimed penalty kicks and postponed the final decision for a week. Although most of the second half was, as they say, a one-goal affair: the statistics of shots on goal (13:4 in favor of Atletico) are proof of that.

Whatever the case, Arsenal extended their unbeaten run in the Champions League to 13 matches, equaling their own record from 2006. That was the last time the Gunners played in the tournament final.

The return match between the rivals will take place on May 5 in London.

We would like to remind you that the final of the Champions League this season will be held on May 30 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
