Former Argentine second division club player Lucas Pires, 29, has died from injuries he sustained in a street fight in a Buenos Aires suburb, Ole reports. The former president of the football club was previously killed at his mother's funeral.

The story takes on an even more dramatic connotation when you consider that the main suspect is the football player's previously convicted brother, Marcos.
According to the investigation, during a street argument that escalated into a fight, the killer inflicted a deep cut on the victim's right forearm with a broken bottle. The glass damaged an artery and caused severe bleeding. Lucas Pires was taken to the hospital, but, unfortunately, doctors were unable to save his life. Lucas Pires' former club, Almirante Brown, for which he played in the 2015/2016 season, expressed its condolences.
“We regret the death of Lucas Pires, a former player of the club. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this sad time,” the club said in a statement.
We would like to add that the police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect.
