Ange Postecoglou has revealed he has become a private detective in an attempt to find a possible mole at Tottenham.
The Spurs manager joked on Friday that he had taken on the persona of Jack Reacher, the hero of British author Lee Child's popular book series that was adapted into a TV series and played by Tom Cruise in two films, in an attempt to find out the source of the leak.
Rumours of a potential 'mole' arose after reports emerged on social media on Thursday that Wilson Odobert would be ruled out of Tottenham's Europa League match against Eintracht Frankfurt due to injury.
Odobert remained on the bench for the game but the latest leak has prompted Postecoglou to air his displeasure publicly ahead of the trip to Wolves on Sunday.
Postecoglou noted: “This has been going on for some time. It started last year. We thought we had it stopped early on, but it still comes out periodically.
“You're trying to limit the scope of information, but I don't understand why people would do that, especially if they're called that on our team, because I don't see how that would benefit us. It certainly doesn't seem to be helpful to us.
“These are not agents. These are definitely not agents. The information that is emerging is quite specific. The language that is being used is not typical of agents. These are definitely not players.
“I always emphasize that I am very, very careful, especially when it comes to medical information.
