Manchester United have left for their pre-season tour of the United States without Harry Maguire, but the defender has revealed he will join up with the squad on Wednesday after being delayed for personal reasons.
The 32-year-old came on at half-time in the 0-0 friendly against Leeds but was substituted in the 74th minute, drawing immediate attention due to his absence from the 32-man squad released on Tuesday.
PA reports that Maguire stayed home for personal reasons and the player has now confirmed he will join Ruben Amorim's squad in the US just a day later.
“All is well now,” Maguire wrote on Instagram. “I will meet the team tomorrow. Thank you for your concern.”
Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia have unsurprisingly joined Barcelona-bound Marcus Rashford in leaving them out of the group heading to Chicago.
All five are seeking new clubs and training separately from Ruben Amorim's first-team squad since expressing a desire to consider their futures beyond Old Trafford.
Bryan Mbeumo joined the squad after completing his move from Brentford on Monday for a potential fee of £71million.
Also on board the plane are Mateus Cunha, whose partner recently gave birth, and Diego Leon.
Lisandro Martinez has been included in the squad as he continues his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury sustained in February, with PA reporting the United defender is not yet fit to train with the squad.
Amorim's side fly from Manchester to their base in Chicago where they will play Bournemouth at Soldier Field on July 30 as part of the Premier League Summer Series.
They begin their pre-season campaign at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where next year's World Cup final will be held, against West Ham on Saturday night local time.
