“The painting, which was given to my great-grandfather by a family friend, Jānis Jaunsūdrabins, disappeared from the house. If you see it in a pawnshop or at an auction, know that it was in Riga, at Pures Street, 1,” Rubenis wrote on Facebook.

The coach also posted a video on social media of him and his daughter walking around the looted house. “Who did this? The whole house was looted, all the documents were scattered, the doors were broken. Horror! Terrible people were here,” said 47-year-old Martins Rubenis , who clarified that the attackers broke into the house where he was born and spent most of his life, not his current neighborhood. “We need to go back, repair it, and preserve the soul of the house that my great-grandfather put into it when he built it.”
