The meeting between the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, and the White House representative, Steve Witkoff, took place in a constructive atmosphere and was dedicated to finding ways to implement the agreements reached between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States. This was reported by First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia.

“The three-way conversation, in which I participated from beginning to end, was held in a businesslike and open spirit. The participants tried to assess the situation after the negotiations between the leaders of the states and determine the mechanisms for implementing the agreements reached,” the diplomat noted.

On the social network X, he separately emphasized that the meeting took place with a sense of sincere interest on both sides in the practical implementation of the decisions agreed upon in Washington on August 18.

Andriy Yermak, for his part, stressed that Ukraine is positive about all US peace initiatives, but Russia is systematically blocking any steps necessary to end the war. “Increased pressure from the international community is needed to force Russia to really move towards peace and participate in critically important meetings at the level of world leaders,” the head of the OP said.

He also invited Special Envoy Witkoff to visit Ukraine in the near future.

It should be noted that Andriy Yermak and Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko are visiting New York. On Friday, Yermak and Kyslytsia held a joint meeting with a US representative.
