There are reports of conflict between Tottenham and Manchester United fans ahead of the Europa League final in Spain.
The clashes took place in central Bilbao and several neighbouring towns where many football fans had stayed to avoid the high prices of accommodation in the host city.
More than 50,000 English fans are expected to arrive in Bilbao, located in the Basque Country, according to local authorities.
There were no reports of serious injuries in the clashes, as most of them occurred at night when fans arrived.
Footage shown by Spanish media shows fans clashing on the streets of Bilbao, with some throwing tables, trash bins, bottles and other objects at each other.
There were also reports of conflict in San Sebastian and Santander, other Basque cities filled with English fans, many of whom did not have tickets for the final.
This week, UEFA warned fans of the risk of buying unauthorised tickets that would prevent them from getting into the stadium.
Each club was allocated 15,000 tickets for the 50,000-capacity stadium, with some costing as little as €40 (£34).
On secondary ticket sales platforms, prices reach thousands of euros.
