Former special counsel Jack Smith is scheduled to provide public testimony later this month before the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Jim Jordan, who made the announcement late Monday.

Smith’s testimony is set for Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. ET, as stated by Jordan — a month following his private testimony before the committee.

Based on a transcript and recording of Smith’s lengthy deposition from Dec. 17, released by the committee late last month, Smith informed lawmakers that President Donald Trump was involved in a "criminal scheme" aimed at reversing the outcome of the 2020 election.
