On Tuesday, South Carolina is holding its primary elections, where constituents will cast ballots for the state’s gubernatorial contest and for positions in the House and Senate.
In the race for governor, Republican Representative Nancy Mace is competing against Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette and several other contenders. On the other hand, Democrats are aiming to seize the governorship, which is presently occupied by Republican Governor Henry McMaster, who is at the end of his term limits.
The 1st Congressional District of South Carolina, presently represented by Mace, is also a contested seat.
