The new Grace hotel on the Westport Estate will open in 2026, creating 170 new jobs in County Mayo.
Grace, Westport Estate will be a “new hotel at the heart of one of the most significant tourist destinations along the Wild Atlantic Way.”
The Grace collection takes inspiration from two remarkable women associated with Mayo: Grace O'Malley, the 16th century pirate queen, and Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, and “is rooted in their shared spirit of bold elegance and independence.”
Situated just steps from the 300-year-old Westport House on a 430-acre estate, the hotel “will offer an atmosphere of quiet luxury, a place to relax in style and enjoy moments of peace and renewal.”
The Grace restaurant on Westport Estate will focus on seasonal produce and local dishes created in partnership with regional producers.
Grace Spa & Wellness offers personalised treatments in a soothing environment.
Weddings at The Grace Estate will be “intimate and thoughtfully curated, highlighting the historic charm and natural beauty of the estate.”
The Grace will accommodate both indoor and outdoor weddings.
The hotel will be part of the transformation of the 430-acre Westport estate.
The estate is also developing new attractions, including the Grace O'Malley Experience with interactive tours and digital storytelling, and a unique Irish landscape journey designed by renowned landscape designer Mary Reynolds.
Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, close to Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay and within easy reach of Westport, the hotel is an excellent base for exploring both the legendary grounds of the estate and the riches of the West of Ireland.
Ciarán Reidy, General Manager of The Grace, Westport Estate, said: “When we open in Spring 2026, our focus will be on creating an authentic Irish experience, combining luxury and informality with a genuine sense of place. Everything from the design to the level of service will reflect the unique character of the estate and the spirit of the West.”
Barry O'Connor, CEO of Westport Estate, added: “The Grace plays a key role in our reimagining of Westport Estate. It is a unique part of the world and our aim is to create a space where guests can experience the richness of Mayo's culture, landscape and people.”
The Grace has been designed by Mayo's Taylor McCarney, with interiors by GW Design. The hotel will create up to 170 jobs, with further opportunities to come with the development of the Westport Estate.
