During an airing on Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast, former US President Obama was asked if aliens exist. Obama replied that they are real, but he personally has not seen them, Ukr.Media reports.
To clarify his words about aliens, the forty-fourth US president wrote: “I tried to keep in the spirit of a quick survey, but since this has attracted so much attention, let me clarify.”
He added that, statistically speaking, the universe is so vast that the chances of life existing elsewhere are quite high.
However, the distances between solar systems are so great that the likelihood of aliens visiting us is very small, and during his presidency he had seen no evidence that aliens had made contact with us. He emotionally concluded his message with the word “Really!”
During the same podcast, Obama also revealed that aliens are not being held at Area 51, an Air Force base in Nevada. “There is no underground facility there, unless there is a huge conspiracy and they have hidden it from the President of the United States.”
Cohen then asked what Obama's very first question was after he took office.
The politician joked: “Um, where are the aliens?”
It is worth adding that Obama has previously commented on the possible existence of extraterrestrial life.
During an appearance on the show with James Corden in 2021, he revealed that after taking office, he had been looking for information about aliens and had also wondered if they were being studied in a secret lab. At that time, he was told the answer was “no.”
But, Obama said, officials are seriously investigating aerial phenomena that are behaving in an unexplained way. “There are footage and recordings of objects in the sky that we don't know exactly what they are. We can't explain how they were moving, their trajectory. They didn't have an easy-to-explain pattern of behavior. I think people are still serious about trying to investigate and figure out what they are.”
