Mainers will determine the Democratic contender for the crucial Senate contest on Tuesday, alongside voting in contests for governor and House seats.
In the Senate contest, shellfish cultivator Graham Platner — who has navigated challenges during his electioneering — will compete against ex-Maryland state representative David Costello for the chance to face incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins. Maine’s Governor Janet Mills is listed on the primary ballot despite halting her campaign in April.
