Ukrainian super heavyweight boxer Viktor Vykhryst, 33, (18 wins, 11 of them by knockout, 1 loss), who won the title in 15 seconds, successfully defended his WBO European champion title in a fight against the famous Pole Mariusz Wach, 46, (39 wins, 20 of them by knockout, 13 losses) in the ring of the Koltai Jeno Sports Hall in the Hungarian capital of Budapest.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

Despite the fact that the Ukrainian champion of the European Games broke the face of his former rival Wladimir Klitschko in the fourth 3-minute round (in 2012, our Olympic champion inflicted the first defeat of Vakh's professional career), the fight lasted all 10 rounds. As a result, all three judges gave the victory to Vikhryst – 100:90, 100:88 and 100:90.

By the way, the former contender for the world champion belt – the 124-kilogram giant Wach with a height of 202 cm – became the third Polish “victim” of Vikhryst. Previously, Victor defeated Jacek Piatek and Kamil Sokolowski.

Recall that Viktor Vikhryst suffered his only defeat in the professional ring in February 2023, losing to Cuban Lenier Perrot and suffering a rib injury.
