In April 2026, Turkey will begin testing the KAAN fighter jet, created by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) in cooperation with other leading Turkish defense companies.

According to him, the KAAN project brings together 750 different companies.
TUSAŞ Director General called the past, current and next years very successful for Turkey's aviation industry.
This year we will deliver 22 Hürkuş aircraft to our armed forces. Our Gökbey (helicopter – ed.) deliveries will continue to increase every month. We plan the first flight of the Hürjet (trainer jet – ed.) Block-0 configuration in May-June. We aim to deliver a total of four Hürjet aircraft this year.
