A Czech company, in cooperation with volunteers, is supplying Ukraine with fiber-optic FPV drones, which are based on technologies from intercepted Russian UAVs.
Main theses:
- The Czech company SPARK, together with Ukrainian volunteers, developed the FPV drone “Jan Žižka” based on Russian technology.
- This drone runs on fiber optics, which makes it invulnerable to electronic warfare and three times cheaper than other models.
- The Darek pro Putina initiative raised funds to produce 500 drones for Ukraine thanks to financial support.
Czech company supplies Ukraine with “Jan Žižka” fiber-optic FPV drones
The FPV drone “Jan Žižka” is named after the Czech commander. The drone operates on fiber optics, making it invulnerable to electronic warfare, and is also three times cheaper than other models.
The Czech company SPARK created this drone based on Russian technology. The Ukrainian military handed over to volunteers the intercepted “Prince Vandal Novgorodsky” drone, which operates on fiber optics.
The company dismantled the UAV and based it on it, created “Jana Žižka.” Almost everything on it was made in the Czech Republic: a green fiberglass frame, 3D-printed legs, batteries, and 25-kilometer coils of optical fiber.

Thanks to financial support from the Darek pro Putina (“Gift for Putin”) initiative, the company began producing drones in large quantities.
Recently, volunteers raised 14 million Czech crowns for 500 drones for Ukraine.
I think that Ukraine will do without any problems without the help of the Czech government. But what is positive: we see that after every statement by Macinka, Okamura or Babis, the money in our accounts increases. We are happy about this, – says Martin Ondracek, co-founder of the Darek pro Putina initiative.
