A "suspicious object" was detected by the Secret Service on Sunday while President Donald Trump was en route to Palm Beach International Airport from Mar-a-Lago, according to a statement from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The discovery necessitated a further examination and prompted the presidential motorcade to alter its usual route, Leavitt noted.

“During preliminary sweeps of PBI airport, the U.S. Secret Service uncovered a suspicious object. An additional investigation was necessary and the route of the presidential motorcade was modified as a result,” Leavitt stated.
Additional information regarding the object has not yet been disclosed by officials.
