Another tragedy has struck the NASCAR racing family. Following the death of famous racer Greg Biffle, his wife and two children in a plane crash, champion driver Denny Hamlin's house burned down in Stanley (North Carolina, USA), The Sun reports with reference to The Athletic.

According to the publication, the fire broke out the night before. By the time the fire brigade arrived, almost half of the house, where the parents of the 2010 world vice-champion lived, was on fire. Despite all the efforts of the firefighters, the four-bedroom house, built in 2015, burned down completely.

Two of the injured were taken to the hospital. Firefighters were able to save expensive cars parked in the garage and Hamlin's racing memorabilia.

Let's add that 45-year-old Denny Hamlin is one of the greatest and highest-paid NASCAR drivers of all time. He made a big splash in 2006, winning the Rookie of the Year award. During his career, Hamlin won the Daytona 500 three times: in 2016, 2019 and 2020, and his first victory in the Coca Cola 600 in 2022. In the 2025 season, Denny finished second in the drivers' standings, only three points behind Kyle Larson.

Hamlin, who owns the NASCAR 23XI Racing team with NBA legend Michael Jordan, is worth an estimated $65 million.
