Mourinho makes changes
Mourinho has promised to ring the changes after the loss Sunday at West Brom, saying that the trip to Bournemouth will be a chance for fringe players to put themselves in contention for the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and he stayed true to his word. In total, there were seven changes, with David de GEA, Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba are the only players to retain their seats.

The changes paid off, with Mourinho admitting every player produced “positive” results after the game.
Pogba is impressive
Pogba was nominated as one of the players likely to be withdrawn after he was recruited against West Brom on Sunday but he answered the latest round of criticism with a perfect view on the South coast, which earned him the man-of-the-match award.
Bournemouth 0-2 Manchester United
Among his best moments was a clever shimmy in preparation for the opener Smalling and transfer of Lukaku for a second organization. It was his 10th Premier to assist the Premier League. Only Kevin de bruyne, Leroy Sane and David Silva got more, and all three of them played more games than the Frenchman. He, of course, a certain starter against Tottenham on Saturday.
“He was very, very good,” admitted Mourinho after.
Sanchez is in danger?
For only the second time since his debut for Manchester United in January, Alexis Sanchez was left out of the starting lineup Mourinho. The Chilean fell to the bench after his muted showing against West Brom remained on the bench as Mourinho decided to throw on Lukaku, MATIC and Daley blind instead.
Sanchez could benefit from the rest after another hectic season, but the fighting and Rashford admired in his absence, providing pace and penetration, and constantly threatening you over Bournemouth back. Could his place against Tottenham to be a doubt? Mourinho needs to make a decision.
Smalling scored in a row
Scoring once in his previous 101 appearances, Smalling is now in his last eight. A close-range finish from Lingard’s cross, a Central defender scored for the third consecutive Premier League away match of. Only Lukaku has scored more goals in the Premier League over the “Manchester United” in 2018.
Goal Smalling has stepped up organization, and he was also influential at the other end against Bournemouth. Callum Wilson and Josh king’s pace and movement creates problems, but Smalling defended solidly, making important tackles and interceptions, while also posting the highest pass completion rate (96 percent) of those who are on the field.
Herrera doing his job
It’s been a tough season for Herrera. The Spaniard was last year’s player “Manchester United”, but the arrival of Nemanja MATIC from Chelsea, pushed him down the pecking order and his form suffered. Indeed, it was a surprise to see him start after he was withdrawn at half-time against West Brom on Sunday.
At durability, however, it was more like a Herrera last season. Stats showed he made more tackles and interceptions combined (eight) than any other player, and he impressed in possession, too. Herrera dictated the play for long periods, holding the ball more times than anyone else, and he showed his cross by the ball to exit Lingard opened the scoring in the match.
This time, his early substitution suggests he may be in line to start against Tottenham on Saturday.
