This week’s renewed search efforts are prompted by forensic findings from electronic devices belonging to Lynette Hooker’s husband, Brian Hooker, which have directed investigators toward new areas of interest, according to U.S. officials. One official communicated to ABC News that Brian Hooker’s statements to investigators are inconsistent with the GPS data retrieved from his devices.
Lynette Hooker was last seen on the evening of April 4. Brian Hooker informed authorities that after the couple set sail from Hope Town on their dinghy towards their yacht, adverse weather conditions led to her falling overboard.
Brian Hooker was apprehended on April 8 and subsequently interrogated by law enforcement. He was set free on April 13 without any charges being filed.

Lynette Hooker’s daughter and Brian Hooker’s stepdaughter, Karli Aylesworth, conveyed to ABC News that she harbors doubts regarding Brian Hooker’s account and mentioned that she has not communicated with him since the day following her mother’s disappearance.
Aylesworth expressed this week that she is optimistic the current search will guide investigators effectively.
"She must be somewhere, so any assistance we can receive is greatly valued," she stated.
Aylesworth added that if she had the opportunity to speak with her mother now, she would convey, "I just hope you are still out there. I have concerns given the time that has passed, but I love you and wish to see you again."
