The villa of one of the most famous Formula 1 drivers in history, 4-time world champion 71-year-old Frenchman Alain Prost on the shores of Lake Geneva in Nyon was attacked by robbers, reports blick.ch. Earlier, the house of another Formula 1 legend was robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

At around 8:30 am last Tuesday, four masked assailants broke into Prost's mansion and slightly injured the former racing driver, breaking his head. Under threat of violence, one of Alain's four sons opened the safe. What exactly was stolen is not reported. However, it is known that Prost maintains close ties with Haute Horlogerie (German for the highest art of watchmaking). For many years, the racer has collaborated with the watch brand Richard Mille, which even dedicated a special collection to him, limited to 30 copies.

Having received an alarm signal, the Swiss police, together with French law enforcement officers (it was not ruled out that the bandits might escape across the border), began searching for the attackers.

According to Blick, Prost himself has already returned to Dubai, where he lives most of the year. There he mostly devotes himself to cycling and golf – sometimes together with the legendary tennis player Roger Federer.
Recall that Alain Prost is the Formula 1 champion of 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1993, also a four-time vice-champion of the race. For his neat driving style and prudent racing strategy, the Frenchman received the nickname The Professor.
