President Donald Trump, battling the sound of drills and hammers, presented the building area for his debated White House ballroom during a tour alongside reporters on Tuesday.

Trump depicted the extensive endeavor, which commenced with a removal of the White House East Wing, as a stronghold for himself and forthcoming presidents.

"This serves as a guard that shelters all that is within, all that is overhead," Trump expressed. He also mentioned it would be the "most secure edifice ever erected, in my view."

Displaying poster board visualizations of the anticipated finished appearance, Trump spoke overlooking the emptied-out building site. The subterranean structure, as stated by Trump, will stretch six stories downward and encompass a military medical facility, research hubs, and conference spaces.

"Unbreakable steel" coupled with window panes that measure "roughly four inches in thickness" stand out amongst the safety components, according to Trump. The rooftop, he indicated, will possess "significant drone capability" and function as a "drone station" hence "it safeguards all of Washington."

Upon being asked for further specifics concerning the "drone station," the White House did not provide added explanation, redirecting ABC News to Trump's statements from Tuesday morning.

Back in March, a court official determined that Trump cannot proceed with the ballroom’s construction absent authorization from Congress, even though he specified that security-centric operations could continue. An appeals court intervened subsequently, permitting all construction endeavors on the initiative for the time being as they examine the case with greater detail. A session regarding the matter is scheduled for June 5.

On Tuesday, Trump seemed to suggest that the complete infrastructure was interconnected.

"The roof correlates with the primary level; the primary level correlates with the roof. Furthermore, the roof stretches downward into the lower level. Every component is connected. Intertwined, elevators, climate control. It represents a singular edifice. Consequently, we endeavor to convey that this constitutes a seamlessly constructed facility," Trump remarked.

"Thus, all of this has been financed through my own means. And considering I continue to perceive indications that I am not. We are bestowing this as a gift. This constitutes a present. Taxpayers will not shoulder the costs for this," Trump conveyed.

The president, who indicated his involvement in funding the initiative, has yet to publicly reveal the extent of his contributions. The White House also voiced intentions to secure finances for the ballroom, with expenditures escalating to $400 million, via private donations.

"This embodies a donation to the United States of America, and transcends being a mere contribution. It shall evolve into one of the most aesthetically pleasing structures ever constructed within the nation or within Washington, D.C.," Trump expressed on Tuesday.

His remarks emerge while certain congressional Republicans pursue $1 billion in financial support, some of which may be directed toward the construction initiative. Democrats have dismissed the proposition.

"Congress sanctions resources for protection … However, this structure, I mean, I — I furnished the capital to erect this structure, accompanied by numerous distinguished patriots," Trump stated.
